Halfpenny Green Airport is the perfect day out for thrill‑seekers and aviation fans alike. This friendly aerodrome, originally built in 1941 for the Royal Air Force, now buzzes with life, home to aircraft and helicopter flying schools, microlight training, trial flight experiences, and even night‑flying sessions.

The South Staffordshire Railway Walk, is a revitalised former Great Western Railway line stretching approximately 5.5 miles (8.85 km) from Castlecroft to Wall Heath. This traffic‑free, gently graded trail is ideal for walking, cycling, running, and is accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Starting in Wombourne, the trail guides you through a tranquil green corridor rich with wildlife, colourful wildflowers, and cool shaded woodland. Along the way, you’ll find welcoming cafés and resting spots, perfect for pausing to soak up the scenery.
