Offering a pit-stop on countryside walks, or a respite from town centre browsing, public houses are as varied as the Staffordshire Moorlands itself, with something for everyone to choose from.

With a village green frontage, situated in the picturesque location of Bagnall, The Stafford Arms is an independently owned pub with its history dating back to the 16th Century, while another pub steeped in tradition is The Roebuck, built in 1626 in the centre of Leek, where character and charm blend in a buzzing environment.

The Lazy Trout and Ye Olde Rock Inn are popular pubs in a stunning corner of the countryside, close to The Roaches and Tittesworth Reservoir.

In the Staffordshire Moorlands, visitors are never far from cafes, tea rooms and coffee shops, where quality and service count.

Nestled in Dimmingsdale in the beautiful Churnet Valley is the Ramblers Retreat, a family-run, award winning country tearoom, which has welcomed guests with a range of traditional, homemade meals, snacks and cakes since 1981.

Local produce is at the heart of the hospitality experience in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Here provenance is championed, and guests can expect to find food and drink that is sourced literally a stone’s throw away.
