Staffordshire Moorlands’ Key Events and Festivals
From the Blues to scooters, top name artists to culinary delights, locals in the Staffordshire Moorlands eagerly await a range of key events and festivals each year, which provide a great opportunity for visitors to experience life from different perspectives across the district.
Leek Arts Festival is a model event for culture lovers, putting on a show of performing arts, music theatre and exhibitions that captivates crowds and brings the town to life.
Cheadle Arts Festival is a celebration of all the arts, there really is something for everyone!
The district also provides the perfect plot for the Staffordshire Moorlands Walking Festival, an accessible, varied and carefully thought-out celebration of journeys that take in natural and built attractions.
The Leek Blues & Americana Festival in October offers five days of song, including folk, blues, Americana, jazz and traditional music, with an international emphasis.
Town centre events are a cornerstone of activity in Biddulph, Cheadle and Leek, offering variety and reflecting a sense of place across the district, including the hugely popular Scooterfest, one of the country’s biggest one-day events on the scootering calendar, which sees people from across Europe head to Leek to enjoy the incredible spectacle.
The Staffordshire Moorlands makes the most of spring, summer, autumn and winter, with seasonal events that capture the magic of the time of year, putting the district’s own distinctive stamp on key dates in the calendar, while the area’s stunning rural landscape, historic town centres and visitor attractions are the perfect host to a wide range of outdoor events.
