Whether you’re on a mission to find every last Staffy or simply enjoying the adventure as it unfolds, there are plenty of moments to stop, smile and maybe even ‘paws’ for a photo along the way. And while you’re out exploring, why not make a day of it? Discover fantastic local businesses, cafés, shops and attractions along the route – there’s so much to enjoy right on your doorstep.

QR code to download the 2026 Staffy Trail App

  1. Download the Staffy Trail App by scanning the QR code opposite. Download the App from the Apple App Store designed for iPhones; or Download the App from the Google Play Store designed for Android devices.
  2. Alternatively, pick up a printed map from any Staffordshire library including Tamworth, Lichfield, Stafford, Uttoxeter and Stoke library.  Or you can use the short ‘Walkies’ description of each trail by reading the Visit Staffordshire Blog.
  3. Turn on your location data on your phone so that the app can track you. Read our terms and conditions, accessibility policy and privacy policy.
  4. Follow the directions and find the different heritage stops.  Along the way you’ll also see great deals from local businesses marked on the maps - make sure you recharge there and support local people and jobs if you can.
  5. If you’re using the App, at each location you can ‘unlock’ to find out more about each heritage stop.  Read the question on the App and look around for the answer – this is a four-digit number that will be somewhere close by; usually on the sculpture/place itself.
  6. When you reach a Staffy sculpture, use the unlock code on the base to unlock a reward, discount or free tickets!
  7. Use ‘Staffy’s Pup-pack’ at the bottom of the App to see all of your rewards in one place.
