What is Staffy?
Staffy is Staffordshire's new mascot, adventure hero and storyteller, inspired by the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, he’s active, adventurous and fun, loyal, hardworking and strong – everything that Staffordshire is!
Over the next three to five years, Staffy will be at the heart of promoting Staffordshire as the beating heart of the country and the nation's playground. He'll showcase places to go, unique local businesses and visitor attractions, and not only help bring many more visitors to our county but also inspire locals too.
Staffy will be front and centre of the 10th anniversary Staffordshire Day celebrations on Friday 1st May 2026, when the Staffy Trail will launch. A series of heritage and art trails in Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford and Tamworth, connected by easy transport links, the Staffy Trail will feature large-scale sculptures of Staffy designed by local artists and schools. Visitors will be encouraged to explore the trails, discovering stories, accessing rewards and spending time with local businesses along the way.
