Things to do for May half term 

1. Alton Towers Resort: 

Join the stars of CBeebies this half term for live entertainment, family fun, and meet & greets with special guests including Bluey and Bingo. 

2. Drayton Manor Resort: 

Fiestaval is back at Drayton Manor Resort, bringing a vibrant celebration with samba rhythms, fiesta festivities, and an explosion of colour. 

3. Staffordshire County Show: 

There’s JCB Dancing Diggers, dog display team, showjumping, country pursuits, climbing wall, and much more, at the Staffordshire County Show. 

5. Lower Drayton Farm: 

Everyone’s welcome at Lower Drayton Farm for the Teddy Bears Tea Party – including your favourite teddies and soft toys. Join in with the story-time sessions, craft workshops and picnics. 

 

Bank Holiday days out 

1. The Trentham Estate: 

The Wedding Fayre at The Trentham Estate brings the finest wedding suppliers to the stunning gardens, plus a chance to meet the estate’s expert wedding team to discuss plans for your big day. 

2. National Forest Walking Festival: 

Escape the rat race and breathe in the fresh air on one of the walks of the National Forest Walking Festival, which has a host of Bank Holiday Weekend events for walkers of all abilities. 

3. New Vic Theatre: 

Enjoy a thrilling ghost play at Newcastle-under-Lyme's 360 degree theatre. 

4. Endon Well Dressing: 

A quintessentially British tradition with Maypole dancing and Morris Men, the Endon Well Dressing also has duck races, a dog show, tribute bands, and much more. 

 

Other things to do for May half term 

Make a splash at Waterworld and have an action-packed day at the National Forest Adventure Farm. 

Bring out your creative side at World of Wedgwood and Lichfield Cathedral, tackle a trail at the National Memorial Arboretum, and chug through Staffordshire countryside on the steam trains of Churnet Valley Railway.
