What is Staffordshire Day?
Staffordshire Day is the day we celebrate everything great about Staffordshire, including our proud manufacturing heritage as the home of the brewing industry, food manufacturers like Marmite, and even the humble Reliant Robin!
Staffordshire is also home to the world-famous pottery industry, with well-known, historic brands like Wedgwood, Burleigh, Emma Bridgewater, and Portmeirion all manufacturing quality ceramics in the county to this day.
Staffordshire Day - Thursday 1st May 2025 - actually falls on the anniversary of Josiah Wedgwood setting up his pottery company, over 265 years ago, on 1st May 1759.
