Work has started on the construction of a speculative logistics unit of more than 340,000 sq ft at a Staffordshire business park.

PLP has appointed Glencar to develop land at Stone Business Park.

PLP Stafford will be a warehouse totalling 344,478 sq ft, including more than 20,000 sq ft of offices and with a clear internal height of 18m.

The development will also include a separately accessed, secure service yard with parking spaces for 70 HGVs and 312 cars.

Keith Wilson, development director at PLP, said: "It's always exciting to be starting on-site developing a fantastic scheme in such an exceptionally strong location.

"The occupier market remains extremely buoyant and, now we have a confirmed construction programme, I have no doubt this opportunity will be very attractive to a whole range of operators seeking brand-new facilities."

Knight Frank and Avison Young have been appointed as joint leasing agents.

Construction is expected to complete in June 2023.
