Don-Bur - the commercial vehicle trailers and rigid bodywork specialist - have invested £4million into their Stoke-on-Trent headquarters, in a bid to increase turnover by £10million over the next three-years.
The investment has seen the company install new cutting-edge machinery at its HQ, allowing Don-Bur to become a standalone business - bringing more operations in-house.
Chairman, David Burton, commented: "We will no longer have to use external companies to laser-cut our materials, which means we can keep the costs down and that our supply chain will be better and more reliable." Also, the new machinery is expected to open new market opportunities to the company, adding "It is important to keep our eye on trends, and look at what our customers are doing... It will also allow us to break into other markets.”
Bosses at the company expect the investment to lead to 100 new jobs being created across the next three-years (taking the company’s workforce to more than 550).
