Up to 20 new jobs are up for grabs at the UK's largest online tile retailer.

Stoke-on-Trent-based Tile Mountain Group has launched a recruitment drive for staff for its IT, warehouse, retail and customer services departments across both its Tile Mountain and Bathroom Mountain brands.

It comes in the wake of the company's ongoing expansion which has seen it move into the flooring sector with its recently-launched Flooring Mountain brand and follows its success in the bathroom product market.

Tile Mountain Group managing director, Jeremy Harris, said: "This latest recruitment drive forms part of our ongoing expansion strategy and will help the Tile Mountain Group and its various brands maintain its position as an industry leader in each market that they operate.

"When we initially committed to the Ceramic Valley Enterprise Zone, we pledged that we'd create up to 70 jobs over the course of two to four years – we’ve already surpassed that total and remain committed to hiring locally and creating long-term employment opportunities in the area."

Tile Mountain moved into a purpose-built 120,000 sq ft warehouse and office complex, in Tunstall, in 2017.

Since then it has expanded both its e-commerce and traditional retail operations with the launch of four Tile Mountain showrooms across the UK; the construction of the Bathroom Mountain headquarters in Tunstall and the development of the Highgate 3 site, off Brownhills Road, which plays host to brand new showrooms for Flooring Mountain, Clearance Mountain and Bathroom Mountain respectively.

Bathroom Mountain director Shamila Iqbal said: "It's testament to both the extraordinary rate at which the group has grown and our commitment to creating jobs in the city that we’re on the hunt for quality staff to fill these newly-created roles.

"Our e-commerce operation has gone from strength-to-strength and we’ve been enjoying an extremely busy trading period over the past 18 months.

"This, coupled with the launch of our inaugural showroom and our dedication to providing a best in class service to our customers is why we're increasing the number of customer services, retail and warehouse staff we employ."
