Steelite International, a world-leading manufacturer and supplier of award-winning tableware for the hospitality industry, has announced the acquisition of neighbouring pottery company, William Edwards Limited.
William Edwards Limited, founded in 1993 by William Edwards in Stoke-on-Trent, employs 36 people in area and is known globally for its fine bone china, which services famous venues across the globe.
The company has collaborated with Michelin-star chefs, such as Brett Graham and Tom Kerridge, to design stunning yet practical tableware collections and has established an excellent reputation in servicing four and five-star hotels. William Edwards boasted a roster of high-profile customers, including Jumeirah, Rosewood London, Claridge's, Four Seasons Hotel, The Connaught, The Dorchester, and the Historic Royal Palaces.

The announcement comes on the heels of Chicago-based, Arbor's acquisition of Steelite International, announced 3 months ago in December 2019.
The acquisition of William Edwards Limited will strengthen Steelite's position in the luxury tableware sector, while at the same time powering William Edward's growth in luxury dinnerware market. Both Steelite and William Edwards will continue to operate from their current facilities at Middleport, Stoke-on-Trent (the heartland of England's ceramics industry).
