A new web service has been launched by a Staffordshire tech-firm to support communities and businesses during the coronavirus restriction period and beyond.
Local Food Drops – developed by Stafford-based iWeb – is a solution that enables people to find local businesses that deliver food in their area, including grocers, butchers, bakers, pet shops, and more.
The newly developed service will allow people to shop safely from their home whilst providing a financial boost to local businesses during these testing times. Customers simply input their location and a list of local suppliers will be retrieved. Businesses can sign up for a listing via the Local Food Drops website.
Creator of the service, iWeb is a tech company based at Staffordshire Technology Park in Stafford. The company has been providing e-commerce and digital marketing services for over two decades, working with a range of national clients including Raleigh, JCB and the British Heart Foundation.
As part of the initiative, iWeb have also helped seven traditional B2B (business-to-business) foodservice companies to rework their business models and sell direct to consumers.
