Six hundred new jobs are being created at two Screwfix distribution centres in Staffordshire.
The trade tools, accessories and hardware products retailer is on the look out for hundreds of new, full-time employees across its sites at Prologis Park in Stafford and at Fradley Park near Lichfield.
The recruitment drive has been launched after Screwfix saw online sales increase by 146 per cent during the DIY and home improvement boom – and as warehouse volumes hit record levels.
Logistics partner Wincanton is leading the recruitment drive.
Rachel Gilbey, managing director of general merchandise at Wincanton, said: "Many have faced uncertain times over the past few months, but our customer Screwfix has enjoyed a period of continued growth.
"We're pleased to be recruiting so many people from the local area to support their store expansion and I’m looking forward to welcoming our new colleagues to the team."
Rachel added: "We have a variety of shifts and positions available to suit all people - from experienced logistic professionals to those who are new to the storage and distribution sector."
Over the last 12 months, Screwfix has expanded its store network with the opening of more than 50 new sites across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
New colleagues will be based across various shift patterns and all areas of the warehouse and transport operation including driving, picking, goods inwards and forklift truck.
