Plans have been approved for a job-creating warehouse and office scheme at Etruria Valley Business Park, located in Stoke-on-Trent.
Land off Shelton Boulevard (Etruria Valley Business Park, Stoke-on-Trent) has been earmarked for 133,670ft² of development by regeneration specialist, St. Modwen. The planning application for the warehouse and office scheme includes a 225-space carpark and has recently been approved by Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
Etruria Valley Business Park is an extension of Festival Park, which was the former site of Shelton Bar Steelworks.
More than 600,000ft² of office and business space, and in excess of 400,000ft² of retail and leisure development, has already taken place at the primed site. In addition to the current 1,000,000ft² of construction, a further 105 acres at Etruria Valley Business Park is listed as ‘developable’.
A document submitted to Stoke-on-Trent City Council on behalf of St. Modwen stated:
“The development will give rise to a number of economic, social and environmental benefits. Importantly, the development will create jobs in the local area in line with the government’s commitment to securing economic growth.
“The site benefits from a strategically advantageous location that is well-suited to employment uses due to its excellent links with the strategic highway network.”
