The listed law firm, Knights plc have announced the acquisition of rival company, ASB Law in a £8.5million move – further adding to the portfolio at Knights.
Knights plc are able to boast over 250 years of heritage, having been established in Staffordshire back in 1759. From having 2 office locations in 2011, the company has grown to now have sites in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Cheltenham, Chester, Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxford, Stoke-on-Trent, Wilmslow and York.
The recent acquisition of ASB Law will bring with it a presence in Crawley and Maidstone – tallying 14 office locations for Knights across the United Kingdom.
The company issued a statement to the London Stock Exchange:
“Accordingly a total of 181,675 new ordinary shares of 0.2 pence each have been issued to the vendors of ASB to satisfy the share-based consideration on the acquisition.
“Application has been made for the admission to trading on AIM of these 181,675 shares, which is expected to occur on 20 April 2020.
“Following admission, Knights will have 80,636,765 shares in issue. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interests in, the company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.”
