A stunning light show - featuring wands belonging to characters from the Harry Potter universe - is set to illuminate the city of Stoke-on-Trent.
After lighting up the City of London, near St. Paul's Cathedral last year (pictured), the 'Wizarding World Wands Supporting Lumos' will now go on tour around the United Kingdom. The display will feature nine 15ft-tall wands, belonging to some of the most beloved characters from the Harry Potter series (as well as the prequel, Fantastic Beasts).
The wand display was originally created in support of J.K. Rowling’s children’s charity, ‘Lumos’.
After a public vote, Stoke-on-Trent has been selected as one of the four lucky destinations for the display - alongside Birmingham, Reading, and Hull. The winning locations will host the display ahead of the third-installment of the Fantastic Beasts trilogy, which is expected to hit UK cinemas in November 2021.
