Micro businesses based in Staffordshire – that have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak – can now apply for grants of up to £1,000.
Staffordshire County Council has introduced a new emergency grant scheme for micro businesses based in Staffordshire. The £500,000 scheme will help companies that operate with nine employees or less and are unable to access support from other initiatives provided by the UK Government. The emergency fund will be allocated on a first come, first served basis – supporting up to 500 local businesses.
Businesses can apply if they are registered in Staffordshire and have an annual turnover of less than £2million. The scheme is also open to sole traders, such as plumbers, hairdressers, photographers, cleaners and childminders.
