Stoke-on-Trent has been evaluated to be one of the best cities to invest in by financial services company Raisin UK.
Raisin analysed data on the largest cities in the UK and evaluated them based on the working population, the rates of business survival over one year, the variance in house price changes, the amount of people per job opening and the price of office space per square foot in order to find the best cities to invest in. Coming in at number 16 out of 38 Stoke-on-Trent it came higher than cities such as Birmingham, Derby, Sheffield, Cardiff, Wolverhampton and Nottingham.
In particular, Stoke-on-Trent benefits from a comparatively low cost for office space rental at an average of £12.30per sqft which is only beaten by Sunderland and Swansea. The city also benefits from being in the top 20 for house price growth between 2015 and 2019.
