Stoke-on-Trent is benefiting from huge growth and major development as investors and the government pump in hundreds of millions of pounds.
However, our roundtable heard that if the city wants to make the most of these opportunities it needs to tackle its skills problem, improve its public transport, firm up its marketing and build on its existing partnerships.
Our speakers also talked about how the city was a great example of the importance of strong local authority leadership and the epitome of what the government’s levelling up programme was all about.
