Autonet, the Stoke-on-Trent based insurance group, is increasing its workforce just weeks after the company was acquired by the global investment group HPS Investment Partners.
The 260 new jobs, including 60 new apprenticeships, will be recruited over the next twelve months, joining their existing 600 staff. The majority of the rolls will be in the customer service and sales departments and all are permanent positions.
PR and marketing executive, Donna Sturge, said: “Autonet is a growing business, it is one of the fastest growing businesses in the area and we need more staff to support that.
“We are looking for people who want a career. Some people think of call centres as a bit of a stop gap job before moving on to other things, but there is a lot of progression opportunities within Autonet.
“Our staff get the chance to work their way through the business and earn qualifications, we also offer a lot of staff incentives.”
Donna continued: “People get put off when you say ‘call centre’ but we work in an enthusiastic environment. The open day was a chance for people to see exactly what we are all about.
“We want people who are committed to having a good career, we want them to be passionate about customer service and people who can demonstrate their loyalty. They also need to be lively and enthusiastic.”
