Monday the 12th March will represent the 100 days to go marker for the UK Corporate Games Stoke and Staffordshire 2018. With a successful history of Games in the UK dating back to 1992, Europe’s largest multi-sport festival for businesses is set to be a tremendous weekend. Competitors have already registered for all of the 23 sports on the packed weekend programme and more than 4000 people from hundreds of organisations will be involved in the Games.
Large teams will come from companies like Vodafone and bet 365 who have 200 entrants each. Their teams are set to do battle on the pitches, courts and tracks of the region between the 21st -24th June. Bob Monroe of bet365 said “at bet365 we really value our employees. We all realise that our people are our biggest asset and we are delighted that we will have the chance to be strongly represented in the UK Corporate Games this year. The Games is already starting to generate a buzz around our offices and we know our teams will benefit from the team-building aspects of the Games, as well as helping to improve the health and well-being of our colleagues in the workplace. We know they will have a great time again too”
A number of influential organisations are signed up with teams of around 100 like Accenture, Intel, Places for People, Knights 1759, Willis Towers Watson and Brose.
However, organisers are keen to stress that the Games is for organisations of all size, kind and sector. Local universities and councils will be represented, members of the armed services, the NHS and the police will also be involved. Zuto an SME from Manchester will be entering 3 people into the Games and local children’s party providers Hire a Princess limited will be entering 1 tennis player. Michelle Vorel-Adams at the Games Headquarters said “we treat every organisation equally regardless of the size. We truly believe in equality of opportunity for everyone – we are open to all for the benefit of all! So if you have not signed up already – get in touch and seize the tremendous array of opportunities that the Games creates.”
Companies have the chance to get their teams together up until the 30th May so there is still plenty of time to start building your teams to experience the unique Games atmosphere.
Plus, there is a sport for everyone on the packed weekend programme and a number of high energy celebrations for people of all ages and tastes to enjoy, like the SuperCentre Celebration, the Grand Parade of Participants and the Great Games Party for people to enjoy.
